Review: Bed of Roses

My Synopsis:

Bed of Roses (Bride Quartet series - Book 2) by Nora Roberts

(Audio book from the Library)

The second book in the Bride Quartet series picks up where we left off with our four friends from Vows Wedding Service, McKenzie, Parker, Emma and Laurel. Emma Grant has always loved flowers, so becoming a florist was only natural. Emma is the social butterfly of the group, beautiful and outgoing, always surrounded by a flock of men. She wasn't looking for Mr. Right, but he was right under her nose.

Jack Cooke, best friend of Parker's brother has always been a part of their lives. His skill as an architect has been challenged by their lofty plans and now his feelings for Emma are challenging his friendship with the group. Things are bound to get complicated. Will Emma and Jack be able to take their relationship to the next level? What is Jack's hang up with commitment? If they things don't work out between them, how will it effect everyone at Vows?

My Thoughts:

It's always interesting when you decide to date someone you consider a friend. The second book in the Bride Quartet series explores what happens when two people who have all the same friends decide to pursue each other. Complicated is probably not even touching the surface... LOL! If you break up who gets to stay and who has to go? Can you still be friends? Is it going to divide the whole group? Definitely something you should probably think about before hand.

I liked this book a lot. For me it was better than the first one. I liked the story of Carter and McKenzie but Emma and Jack's story had a little bit more heat. It had issues that I was able to identify with on a deeper basis and it seemed to flow better. The whole concept of Emma wanting to dance in the garden with the man she was going to marry was really special, very romantic and made me think about the first I fell in love. That's what a love story is supposed to do, make you feel good and this one does it with style.

I am going to give this one 4 out of 5 apples from my book bag.

I've not read this author before but maybe its time I looked around for a book as it sounds quite interesting.

Oooh! I think this sounds very cute. I think if I decide to give Nora Roberts a try, I'll definitely start with this one.
