(For review from Phenix Publicity)

Synopsis:

Developed by two Harvard brain experts—a scientific, accessible approach to achieving success by retraining your brain to win. Ever wonder why some people seem blessed with success? In fact, everyone is capable of winning in life—you just need to develop the right brain for it. In The Winner's Brain, Drs. Jeff Brown and Mark Fenske use cutting-edge neuroscience to identify the secrets of those who succeed no matter what—and demonstrate how little it has to do with IQ or upbringing. Through simple everyday practices, Brown and Fenske explain how to unlock the brain's hidden potential by establishing:

  • Balance: Make emotions work in your favor
  • Bounce: Create a failure-resistant brain
  • Opportunity Radar: Spot hot prospects previously hidden by problems
  • Focus Laser: Lock into what's important
  • Effort Accelerator: Cultivate the drive to win
  • Along the way, they introduce you to dozens of interesting people who possess "win factors"...

    Thoughts:

Who doesn't want to be successful? Two Harvard experts, are going to show us what it takes to be successful in today's ever changing world. It's nice to know it doesn't depend on your upbringing or your IQ... LOL or I'd be in trouble for sure. What it does depend on is knowing yourself and knowing your brain and training it do what you want it to. These 8 strategies aren't a full proof method for success, you the reader are required to do something. Train your brain!

Each of the strategies is beneficial by itself. But together they are a guide to success. These 8 "win factors" include, Self Awareness, Motivation, Focus, Emotional Balance, Memory, Resilience, and Brain Care. I think the one that seemed the most beneficial to me was Emotional Balance. I tend be a very emotional person, when I'm happy I'm happy but if I'm upset about something it affects everything that I do. It's nice to know that I can learn to master my emotions and become more productive even when I have too much on my mind.

I thought this book was very helpful and I think that people who want to be successful in all aspects of their lives will enjoy reading it and applying it's principles.

The Winner's Brain is available NOW from your favorite bookseller.

I'm giving this one 4 out of 5 apples from my book bag! If you think you need a boost in your career or just in your personal endeavor's give this book a try, the strategies learned here could help you be the success you've always dreamed you could be.
