Simply Marvelous Monday (32)

Shelia at, One Person's Journey Through a World of Books, gets all the credit for this one.

On Simply Marvelous Monday here at Debbie's Book Bag we want to know... What are you reading?

FINISHED LAST WEEK:

Too Rich and Too Thin: Not an Autobiography by Barbara Deshong (For review from Phenix Publicity)
The Seeker by Ann Gabhart (For review from Revell)
Damaged (Kate Lange Thriller series - Book 1) by Pamela Callow (For review from Media Muscle)
Waking The Witch (Women of the Otherworld series - Book 11) by Kelley Armstrong (For review from Dutton/Penguin)
To Conquer Mr. Darcy by Abigail Reynolds (For review from Sourcebooks)
Blind Hope: An Unwanted Dog and the Woman She Rescued by Kim Meeder & Laurie Sacher (For review from Waterbrook Multnomah)
50 Harbor Street (Cedar Cove series - Book 5) by Debbie Macomber (Audio book from the Library)

I really enjoyed my reading this week. The Seeker is a book set in my home state of Kentucky. Waking the Witch sated my paranormal appetite and To Conquer Mr. Darcy, my historical tastes. Blind Hope was just a great feel good story and 50 Harbor Street was listened to purely for pleasure. Too Rich and Too Thin was an interesting take on a mystery and Damaged was a great first effort. I liked them all LOL... That's why I read!

READING OR LISTENING TO THIS WEEK:

Simply From Scratch by Alicia Bessette (For review from Dutton/Penguin)
Plum Blossoms in Paris by Sarah Hina (E-ARC for review from Medallion)
The Reapers are the Angels by Alden Bell (For review from Henry Holt)
The Bishop (Patrick Bowers series - Book 4) by Steven James (For review from Revell)
Kaleidoscope: Seeing God's Wit and Wisdom in a Whole New Light by Patsy Clairmont ( For review from Thomas Nelson)

I'm really hoping for the best this week. My niece is getting married and I'm making the mints and the Wedding Cake, sooooo I'm not sure how much reading I can squeeze in. But these five are already in the works, so I'm optimistic! Simply From Scratch is excellent so far!

UP NEXT:

Theater of Illusion (Spirit of the River series - Book 3) by Kathy Steffen (E-Arc for review from Medallion)
Emma and the Vampires by Wayne Josephson (For review from Sourcebooks)
Vanishing Act by Liz Johnson (For review from the author)
With One Eye Open by Polly Frost (For review from the author)
The Paris Vendetta (Cotton Malone series - Book 5) by Steve Berry (For review from Media Muscle)

Looking forward to Emma and the Vampires, first one of this type I've had the chance to review. Liz Johnson the author of Vanishing Act was one of my publishing contacts and I look forward to reviewing her first book. I am always on the lookout for good devotionals, this one is right up the alley for my oldest daughter, His Princess Girl Talk.

Have a great reading week!!!

I feel like an underachiever. But thanks for the great ideas.

You had a good week. I liked Waking the Witch too. Did you think the ending was kind of abrupt? My weekly report is here. Happy reading!

Yeah I did! But, I don't really think this is the end of the story. I think Kelley Armstrong probably intends to revisit these characters in another book in the series... if we're lucky! LOL...

I need to finish Blind Hope. The book scares me a little bit, I think it is going to rip me up. :)

Have a super week, looks like you accomplished a lot!
