Thoughts:

Mercy Rising is a book that will help women share their compassion for those in the world who are suffering. Many times we hear about all the horrible things that are going on in the world and even outside our front doors and wish we could do something to stop it, to help those who are suffering, but what? What can one person do? Amber Robinson gives readers a solid plan for action. Using her own experiences and biblical teachings she shows us that only is there something we can do, but it's something we should do!

There were so many things about this book that I found really helpful in a very practical way. It's one thing to read a book about justice and what we can do for others and another to actually do something. Robinson gives readers so much helpful information that it's impossible to continue to think there is nothing we can do. One of things I really liked were the different tables provided. One in particular was about, who actually needs justice, here and globally. There we some that I just never thought about before.

I also really liked the reflective questions at the end of each chapter. They helped me to focus my thoughts about what I had learned about each of the areas. One of the ideas that I found most interesting was, what one thing can I do and it went in areas like, shopping, in business, real hospitality. I think that there is one thing, one area where each person can find something they can do to help and this book really reinforced that idea.

One of the best parts of the book was the fact that even if you don't have a lot yourself there are still ways to give. There is just so much information in this book that people can use to better the lives of others. In one of the appendixes of the book, Robinson gives readers a list of Charitable organizations that they could use to find somewhere they can give their money, their time, or even just their heart to. I found this book very informative and it has strengthened my resolve to do something to help, even if it's just in my neighborhood.

I recommend this book to women who are interested in finding some way to help others. If you just don't know what to do, how to get justice for those who need it, this book can help. Every person has ONE thing they can do. Find your one thing!
