My teaser this week comes from, Shift (Shifter Series - Book 5) by Rachel Vincent, page 155.
It's head and most of it's torso were human too, which is how I knew, to my complete surprise, that this thunderbird was a girl. Or, more appropriately, a naked, winged woman.

Yes, it is. The main character is a shapeshifter. Excellent book so far.
