Guest Post and Giveawy: Karin Tabke

Please join me in welcoming Karin Tabke to Debbie's Book Bag today. Karin is here promoting her latest book in the Blood Moon Rising series, Blood Right. I got the opportunity to ask Karin a couple of questions and her publisher is sponsoring a giveaway for a copy of her book, see details at the end of the post.

I asked Karin about her inspiration for the Blood Moon Rising series and Blood Right in particular.

This was her response

Sons of Anarchy vs Rise of the Lycan. Two of my favorite things, bad boy bikers and sexy shifters. And since I naturally write steamy, what better shifter to write about the then the most primal of them all: lycan.  Writing about lycan opened up a whole other heat level for me to write and I can’t say that I’m not enjoying it!

I also asked why she chose to write about two brothers pitted against each other and if it was difficult to write them that way.

This was her response:

Because blood binds whether we like it or not.  Because with brothers, the bloodline is secure.  With brothers, at least I thought when I began the Blood Moon Rising series, it would be easier for them to accept sharing the women they both love.  That hasn’t proven to be the case!  It wasn’t hard at all to write them opposing each other.  They are so much alike in so many ways but they each have a different method of execution.  Rafael is the oldest and with him comes the responsibilities that fall on the eldests’ shoulders.
Yet Lucien is his twin and younger only by minutes and sees himself as a leader as well.

Physically they are as different as night and day.  Even in the bedroom they are different but each way is a yummy way.

Writing them opposing was easy because of the sheer magnitude of the event that separated them.  Bringing them back together for the love of one woman has proven damn near impossible.

Blood Right sounds lovely, Karin. I like the idea of a family torn apart that must be reunited. I like to see the conflict and resolution.

This is a very different approach to brothers relationship - I'm wondering how it will be resolved.
