Debbie's Book Bag will once again be participating in the 2012 Just For Fun Reading Challenge hosted by Escape With Dollycas.
This challenge is pretty self-explanatory. Participants commit to reading one book per month, just for fun. As I have mentioned before, the reason I think a lot of bloggers get burnt out on blogging after a while is that they read only books that publishers or authors send them, not necessarily books the want to read. That's why I like this challenge, it's purely pleasure!
This challenge is set up quite a bit differently than it was last year so be sure to read the guidelines on how to participate. It will be run primarily from goodreads, in a self-organized type manner. I will be posting my progress on this post as well as a challenge post I will set up later.

Debbie's Book Bag will once again be participating in the 2012 Support Your Local Library Challenge hosted by The Eclectic Bookshelf.
I don't think many people realize the importance of the library! When I was growing up we didn't have the money to go out and buy books and I absolutely loved to read and if it had not been for the library I'm not sure what I would have done. It fostered a deep desire for learning and reading within me.
So, I very much encourage you to join this challenge.
This challenge is slightly different than last years challenge. I am committing to reading 37+ library books. Last year the number was 50+ and I think this one a little more doable for me. I read a lot but many of those books are ARC's and review books. What I read from the library is generally for pleasure. I continue to read for pleasure as much as for my blog because I think that is what will keep me from getting blogger burn-out LOL!
I will post my progress here and on a challenge progress post I will set up later!

Debbie's Book Bag will once again be participating in the New Author Challenge hosted by Literary Escapism.
This is such a great challenge! I have explored so many new authors since I started my book blog almost two years ago and I always feel that this challenge reminds me of that.
There are so many great authors out there! I hope you will consider joining this challenge and challenging yourself to try new things and break out of your comfort zone a little bit, as far as, your reading goes.
I will post my progress on this page and on a challenge progress page that I will post later. I'm planning on reading at least 50 New Authors in 2012.

Cozy mysteries have been a favorite of mine since I was introduced to them by Lori at Dollycas's Thoughts a couple of years ago!
I am looking forward to hosting this challenge again and participating! (NO... I won't enter myself in the drawing LOL!)
I will be posting my progress on this page as well as a challenge progress page I plan to post later!
