Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read.
Open to a random page.
Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and the author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.
My teaser this week comes from, The Brothers of Gwynedd, Pt. 2: The Dragon at Noonday, page 313.
I turned about, and he was there in the darkness of the trees, seated upon a bank of turf that clambered into the knotted roots of an old beach-tree. And so still that I had not marked him when I came, though there he had surely been in his own solitude, apart even from those three holy men who upheld his spirit and blessed his cause.
